Venice-Hylo Heritage Historical and Preservation Society

Mission Statement:

To promote and preserve the heritage and history of the Italian founders of our communities and to maintain and preserve the St. Anne’s church as part of this heritage and legacy.

Who are we?

We are a non-profit society who owns and operates the newly-named Venice Heritage Park previously known as “the picnic grounds” or simply “the Venice church”. We are responsible for hosting the annual Venice Picnic, maintaining the St. Anne’s church building + Venice Heritage Park, and delivering services that promote and celebrate the Italian pioneers of the communities of Venice and Hylo, Alberta.

We are currently gathering old photos and archival information about the Italian pioneers who built the communities of Venice and Hylo to display in the basement hall.
